This afternoon, Darin and I met with Patrick at the Eastgate Tully's coffee shop next to the Toyota dealership and the old Sun Villa Lanes bowling alley, about 15 minutes east of Seattle. Wow, so many memories of that bowling alley from growing up. Now the building is used for I think corporate Toyota stuff. Patrick Foster, a Seattle native, has been in the shoe business for a long time. He has sales connections with Nordstrom and other companies such as Amazon and Zappos. Darin and Patrick have a side business project called "All For Heart" and through that connection...

Ty Kelly, a longtime friend from college, came by at 7pm. Hillary generously made us all dinner. I spoke with Ty the night before giving him the skinny on the current company position and offered up equity for his services. Darin agreed with the plan. Ty has lots of social media experience and is a photography wizard, not to mention possesses huge video skills. Accepting our offer, Ty is now our media director. And has already diligently started building up our social following via Twitter. And for your next assignment, Ty, take pictures of all these shoes for future website...

What a day. I picked up Maral at The Westin at 9:45 with the intent to be back at the condo by 10am. That was the target time we all agreed upon the evening before. Pulling into the Westin valet parking area, Maral was already ready to go. She had three huge roller bags and then a couple of smaller duffles, which we all put in the back of my VW van. Jason was there to help, but had other work to do so he did not join us for the day. Maral jumped into the shotgun seat and we...

Around a table at the Relish Burger Bistro on the first floor of the Westin, Darin, Maral and I solved the worlds problems. Maral had come to town to show us the shoe samples we have been working on for the past six months. She flew into Seattle on Saturday but then flew up to Vancouver and rode the train back down to Seattle with her husband, Jason.Maral and Jason arrived in Seattle Sunday morning at about 11:30 AM. That was right when Seahawks fans were congregating for today's game versus the Cleveland Browns. Darin and I wanted to watch...

"Tic, tic, tic, tic ..." goes the clock in the upstairs bathroom at Hillary's parent's home, located just outside Tahoe City, California. Her parents were very generous to throw an engagement party for Hillary and me the first weekend in August, in celebration of our upcoming September wedding.

Jim and Sandy, Hillary's parents, purchased a small cabin in the late 70's and overtime, transformed that "crash pad" into a home suitable to raise a family. Hillary and her older sister, Emily, and younger sister, Meghan grew up in that home and were very fortunate to have immediate access to the...
