This may include when you use our site to make a purchase, create an online account, request information from us, sign up for newsletters or our email list, use our services, enter sweepstakes or other promotions, fill out a survey, request customer support, or otherwise communicate with or contact us.

Contact Details. When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, postal address, email address, telephone or mobile number, or other similar identifiers.

Financial Data. Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. Shopify provides us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. If you make a purchase from us, we collect a credit/debit card number and related financial information (such as CVV, expiration date, and billing address), depending on the form of payment you choose. Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. Shopify stores your data on a secure server behind a firewall. If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers. Transaction Details. We collect details about your purchases or other transactions with us, including, but not limited to, your transaction or purchase history, or transaction channel.

Account Information. You may choose to register for an account to make a purchase or use certain services. We collect information from you regarding your account registration, such as an email address.

Marketing and Communications Data. We collect data concerning your preferences in receiving marketing, other targeted information from us, and your contact preferences. For email marketing, with your permission, we may send you emails about our store, products, retail partners, and other updates.

Demographic Data. When you provide a review, enroll in our Rewards program, or create an account online or at other times, such as in surveys, we may request that you provide birth month and day, gender and other demographic details, such as information about your shopping preferences.

C. Information Collected by Third Parties

Communications. To send you information, including confirmations, invoices, technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages such as Abandoned Cart, to invite you to participate in customer research opportunities, such as surveys and focus groups, and to process and deliver contest entries and awards.

Marketing. To communicate with you about new products, offers, promotions, loyalty rewards, contests and sweepstakes, upcoming events, and other news offered by BILLY Footwear and our select partners.

Advertising. To display advertising.

 

SECTION 3 - WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?

When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.

When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.

Email marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates.

Text marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send text messages about our store, new products, and other updates. Updates include Checkout Reminders. Webhooks will be used to trigger the Checkout Reminders messaging system.

How does BILLY Footwear get my consent?

When you provide us personal information to place an order, arrange for a delivery, or return a purchase, you imply consent that BILLY Footwear can collect and use your data for the specific reason only.

SECTION 5 – SHARING OF INFORMATION

Certain sections of our Sites are designed as open and public community areas for connecting and sharing with other people. The BILLY Footwear store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide an online e-commerce platform that allows the selling of products to you.

Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

Payment —

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

SECTION 7 – THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

If BILLY Footwear is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that BILLY Footwear may continue to sell products to you.
