"Our disabled son has 2 pairs of Billy's that we rely on; one mismatched pair to accommodate an AFO, and another matched pair to give him a break to allow more freedom of movement. We exclusively purchase the high top models as they are practically impossible to slip out of (neuro-diverse individuals are crafty escape artists). The shoes are very durable, stylish and the zippers hold up quite well. We purchased the Kodify Reds on clearance and they stand out (in a good way actually!). "My big guy is 12, although he's as big as an adult. He struggles with dexterity and shoe tying and leaving has gotten us to tears a few times. He always wants the cool kid shoes!
